The Big Easy is an underground nightclub and restaurant in historic downtown Petaluma's American Alley. Below street level under the Hide-Away lounge, the club is reached via American Alley — easy to miss, and finding it is part of the experience. Opened in 2014 as a throwback to North Bay's bygone era of back-alley jazz clubs and basement speakeasies, the space offers dark-wood warmth, high-back booths, low ceilings, and a wall of red velvet cloaking the stage. A Hammond B-3 organ holds court onstage — a special occasion unto itself. Live music runs seven nights a week across jazz, blues, rock, folk, Americana, and more. Dinner is served from the full menu of Speakeasy — for hours, menu, and reservations, visit their website directly. All ages are welcome. Table seating is limited. For questions about reservations or ticketing for specific events, use the contact form and select the appropriate option. Private events can accommodate around 180 guests. See contact for inquiries.
