Originally hailing from the Z area of the planet Peelander, Peelander-Z is a Japanese-American punk rock band formed in 1998. You’ll see the band in colorful costumes reminiscent of Japanese anime or punk rock Power Rangers, though they describe their outfits as their skin. They bring tons of fun energy to their live shows with audience participation like human bowling, banging on pots and pans, holding up signs, and just singing along to songs about STEAK and some guy named Mike. It’s fun for the whole family! 

In 2016, Peelander-Z released Mad Tiger, the feature documentary film (previously appearing on Netflix) about the band’s inner turmoil. Through the lineup and color changes, the band has consistently toured and brought many smiles to their fan’s faces.
