Bio:
Monica da Silva and Chad Alger are a Brazilian-American duo whose self-coined Indie Nova genre beautifully showcases the magic that happens when Indie Pop and Bossa Nova come together to tell a story. Accompanied by Chad on guitar, Monica sings in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish, and also plays the flute and keyboard.
The duo’s songs have been nominated for an International Brazilian Press Award, and are featured in the Golden Globe Award-winning movie ‘Lady Bird’, the Netflix movie “The Last Summer”, the Putumayo World Music compilation ‘Brazilian Beat’, the Official Playlist of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and a campaign for the American fashion designer Tory Burch.
