His songs have earned a loyal following and the support of fellow artists like Pony Bradshaw, Vincent Neil Emerson, and Nicholas Jamerson, who have all taken him on the road in recent years.\nAfter more than a decade in Lexington, where he studied agriculture and worked for the University of Kentucky, Jenkins now spends much of his time traveling and touring, with over a quarter-million miles logged across the U.S., UK, and Canada while keeping Kentucky as his home base. Like fellow Kentuckians Sturgill Simpson and Keith Whitley, he’s carved out his own corner of country music through four independent albums, relentless touring, and festival appearances at Railbird Music Festival, Master Musicians Festival, and beyond.
